7/9 – Rangers regain lead

I haven’t been a huge fan of the acquisition of Andruw Jones throughout the entire season, but I have to admit, maybe he has a little bit left in the tank. Last night’s 3-homer performance sure proved that, while helping Texas regain the AL West lead at the same time.

The Rangers can add to that lead tonight when they head up the pacific coastline to face Seattle (4 1/2 games back) in the opener of a 4-game series. The Angels are idle tonight, meaning a Texas win would give the Rangers a 1 1/2 game lead.

• LeBron James gets dunked on at a basketball camp, and Nike protects its King by confiscating video evidence of the jam. Apparently the Nike execs didn’t want it plastered all over the internet.

• Looks like we got a good defender heading to Dallas. Story.

• This sad story only confirms what I immediately thought when the original story first broke.

• On the bright side . . . only 32 days until 2-a-days start.
